About

Supporting And Empowering Families Through The Special Education Process.

The Executive Director of Kids N Care, our partner nonprofit organization, founded SEAAS in 2018. Through community outreach, Dalia, owner of SEAAS, saw a need for representation in the Special Education sector and began offering consulting services for children and families in the foster care system.

Through partnerships with different agencies and communities, the need for Special Education representation increased thus creating the need for SEAAS. SEAAS (Special Education Advocacy and Assessment Services) is an organization ran by licensed Educational Diagnosticians and School Psychologist. SEAAS supports and empowers families through the special education process by educating parents and advocating for the best interest of children. We provide IEP/ARD preparation and meeting attendance, reviews of existing IEPS and supports family’s by setting a clear plan for the needs of the student based on their vision for the future. SEAAS aims to promote inclusion, child centered practices and policies and encouraging education agencies to teach students the way they learn.

Book Your In-Depth Consultation

As part of our onboarding process, you will receive an in-depth consultation to discuss your school-related situation in more detail, discuss the goals for your child’s programming and receive feedback from the advocate regarding options, strategies, and realistic outcomes of your goals. The advocate will also provide feedback related to the child’s current programming and IEP, and provide suggestions for “next steps” whether or not the family chooses to hire the advocate.

The family should be prepared to bring the most recent IEPs (if applicable), evaluations and other documents they believe might be relevant. The advocate will review these documents either before or during the meeting in order to provide comprehensive feedback.
